about

Released on May 26th, Void is a brave step forward from Temple Invisible’s first release, 2015’s Enter_ EP. Void continues the band’s journey into the depths of electronic music, fused with complex patterns, beats and vocal approaches that range from ethereal whispers to powerful choruses. Following their first EP Enter_, the dystopian connotations take form and the listener is now aware of Enter_ing the Void.

The band sets out to express the subconscious feelings that linger in our minds, to bring them to light and explore them from different vantage points. A wide ranging, yet specific sound is given to each song, as the beats engage you in a wild, rhythmic frenzy, the voice absorbs you altogether and the lyrics take you deep into the human psyche.

Burn the waters, one of the two singles that are already out, has been aired by BBC Radio 6 Music, Amazing Radio, Reprezent Radio etc. and has been compared to the likes of Portishead, Massive Attack or NIN. Being the first Romanian band to have reviews from music blogs, multimedia outlets and magazines such as THUMP/Vice, The Fader, The Line of Best Fit, CLASH, Wonderland Mag, HUNGER Mag and many others, Temple Invisible is becoming anything but invisible on the international electronic stage radar.

The duo draws attention towards the twisted ways our society is using to shape the way we think and act, giving us a glimpse into the passive aggressiveness of our times: “It’s your own fishnet/ What you’re hoping to get/ When you suffocate”, “I’m electrolyte, psychologically speaking/ You dissociate when the fear level’s peaking/ You give me strength, don’t even know/ That you’re a prisoner in a mirror show”, “Enter the room, there is a claw/ That draws you outside, gripping raw/ It comes from right within your mind/ Where stillness gives birth to the sound/ The gentle, stinging smell of dust/ Fictitious, hurtful sense of past/ It’s all imagined in the vast/ Space of a non-revolving blast.”

Temple Invisible’s creativity sprouts from interesting combinations such as piano, airy pads and mellow voices intermingled with rhythmic voice samples, electric guitars, analog bass lines and psychedelic themes.

Influenced by the eclectic atmosphere that describes their city, Bucharest based Temple Invisible has written, recorded, engineered, produced, mixed and mastered the EP in their own home studio.
